As many of you know, I work out at Shea Stadium, in NY, and at Giant Stadium in NJ. Well this Friday and Saturday night, there will be two concerts that I will be working. I will be working the Bjork concerts at Keyspan Park in Brooklyn. I've worked at Keyspan in the past too, but for a handful of Cyclones games.

Bjork

Ever since her days with groundbreaking Icelandic pop band the Sugarcubes, Bjork has defined "alternative" with a unique combination of artistry and style. Since embarking on her solo career, she has smashed artistic boundaries again and again, constructing an exhilarating new musical world of sounds and textures, from intense dance beats to delicate ballads, securing her position as an international superstar and one of the most compelling figures in pop music. On top of her success in the world of music, she also wrote the score to Lars von Trier's bleak and moving film Dancer In The Dark, which won the award for Best Picture at Cannes, and for which Bjork won the award for Best Actress.

As cool as Bjork is (I followed her music even in the Icecube days) she ain't got nuthin' on the her opening act. The band is called Sigur Ros and they also hail from Iceland but the are simply my most favourite band ever!!! Incredible music...Gary you must give them a listen, especially for the live experience.

I worked last night at Keyspan. The concert was very good. It wasn't my type of music, but it was still good.

The company that I work for, had two portable stands set up on the field in front of each of the dugouts. At each stand we had the same items for sale (hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, soda, water, coors light, budweiser, and corona's extra). Since we had only five cash registers at each stand and seven cashiers, I ended up being a food service helper, which meant that I helped pour the corona's into a cup, or get the sandwiches.

The cashier who I helped split her tips with me at the end of the night. I made $15.00 in tips.

In a little while I will get ready to go back out to Keyspan to work tonight's concert.
