Joe McEwing flew home to Pennsylvania on Saturday to be with his wife, Julia, who gave birth to the couple's first child, Joseph Dominic, earlier in the day. McEwing will rejoin the club on Tuesday in Atlanta.

Joe was surprised, because she was three weeks early.


First Phillips, now McEwing. Don't these guys know how to count?? Their wives are supposed to give birth in the off season!

guess we know now how the Mets drowned there sorrows from last season.....can only imagine what next seasons babyboom would be like!!!
