Going to ballgames by yourself

How many of you actually attend MLB games by yourself? How do you like the experience? Seems like it could be kind of lonely.

I am going to be in Anaheim in September for a work conference and I want to attend the Angles/A's game on Sept 16. I have five other coworkers joining me at the conference, but none of them want to see a baseball game. SO FOCK IT...I'll go by myself. I can get a KILLER single seat for like $25. Much better that the $60 Fenway charges for a similar seat. :hmm: That Tuesday is the only night I don't have a dinner or party to attend at the conference. What better way to spend it than at a ballpark? :)

Anyway, just wondering what your impressions are of attending a game by yourself. Edison field is about a mile from my hotel. :cool:

OMG I love it! I average about 3 games a year by myself. None so far this year.:(

I work a 5 minute walk from Fenway, and sometimes I just say, FOCK it, I'm going to a game tonight, screw everyone.

It is so fun! You meet all kinds of people. People love to chat with you when you are alone. You can really get into the game without having to hear the BS going on in your friends' lives.:D

You can pee and get beer WHENEVER it's convenient for YOU.

Thanks Princess. Rest assured, since work is paying and I am walking distance from the park, the beer will be flowing strong.

What's nice is that I can CHEER for the Angels since this game will probably have Wild Card implications for the Sox. :cool:

I hope some friendly Angels fans chat with me. I will make sure I wear my Red Sox hat and Tim Wakefiled t-shirt jersey. :)

Hey, I say a ball game is a ball game! Sure it's great to go with people and have someone to chat with and all that, but there are advantages to going alone too! Nobody to bother you! Enjoy the game in peace and scream your head off at the team and love every second of it! :D If it was me, I'd go to a ball game by myself, with a crowd of 50 or with a heard of freaken elephants if that was the only way I got to go :D

i only go by myself. but i talk so much crap with all the folks around me. Cubs fans are so personable and we all have fun. :)

I go to tons of games by myself, including out of town. A game is a game. And when you're alone, you can make the biggest fool of yourself, knowing that you'll never see another one of those people ever again!!
