TB
MIA
PIT
NE
GB
CAR
PHI
BAL
NO
who's going to have some killer D this season that hasen't been picked?
my ideas are............
Titans, but they seem a little banged up
Redskins, great linebackers
Giants..........strahan does it all
any insight would be great.

for me, it would always be the tampa bay buccaneers. no one can match up with them. i also feel that the panthers is gonna have great season with their defense.

I totally agree about TB and CAR. I've was lucky enough to get CAR on my team for Defense, but I'm looking for a respectiful back up since they are bye in week 3.

The Giants are probably the best defense left, but they play Washington in wk 3...who have enough weapons to score even against the Giants D...looking at match-ups for that week maybe the best bet is KC who goes against Houston.
I just don't think Houston has improved any on offense....while the KC defense even though their not ranked high they should still be able to shut down Houston...
Tennessee has New Orleans that week so not sure that would be a good match-up for the Titans D...

I never even thought to look at the match ups. That's a nice advanced stratagy when it comes to FF.

Kansas City might be a safe play that week, but I still don't like their big play ability on D, the best plays for the week would have been TB, GB and Pit, but they're all gone, and for the year I like Buffalo and Seattle, but they face Miami and St. Louis respectively, it's a tough week for your starting D to have a bye, but I would have to say San Francisco, San Fran always seems to get more out of their defense than anyone expects and they have a very solid starting corp and I think Mike Rumph will emerge as a starting CB this year, they go against Cleveland who may have some weapons in Willie Green, Quincy Morgan, Kevin Johnson, Dennis Northcutt, and Andre Davis, but I don't know how well Kelly Holcomb will handle being the starting QB, last year when he had his success, he had no pressure to perform, that has all changed this year, now he's starting over #1 pick Tim Couch and the future of the franchise rides directly on his shoulders, look to see how well Holcomb rises to the occasion in the first 2 weeks and if he struggles, SF is your D

While I agree with your assessment of the 49ers defense, I still think the Browns have a better chance of putting points on the board against their DT. QB Holcomb isn't a young QB that will be in over his head. He went into Pittsburgh in the playoffs and had a great game. Over the long term, yes the 49ers would be the better choice.
With the Chiefs defense going against Houston your looking at facing a second year QB, very young receiving corp, and a running game that is still very suspect. The Chiefs addressed some of their needs with the addition of LB Shawn Barber and DL Vonnie Holliday. Plus they have one of the best young LBs in the game with Mike Maslowski. And they did have 31 takeaways last season.
