CYLONES DROP DOUBLEHEADER TO RENEGADES

Brooklyn, NY -- The Brooklyn Cyclones lost both ends of a day/night doubleheader on Wednesday, 5-4 in the first game, and 8-5 in the second.

The losses drop the Cyclones into second place in the McNamara for the first time all season.

In the first game, Brooklyn gave up a first-inning run, but bounced back with runs in the second, third, and fourth innings, courtesy of RBI from Rashad Parker, Ian Bladergroen, and David Reaver. The Cyclones were also the beneficiaries of four Hudson Valley errors. The Renegades rebounded with three RBI from Matt Rico, and two from Gabriel Martinez.

In the second game, Brooklyn again overcame an early lead, and had a 5-3 advantage in the fifth inning, but Matt Rico struck again, with a three-run home run, to rack up his seventh RBI of the day.

Aaron Baldiris and Ian Bladergroen had two RBI each for the Cyclones in Game Two.

The Cyclones and Renegades wrap up the series on Thursday at KeySpan Park, with gametime set for 7pm.
