The Lions traded a future yet-to-be-named draft pick to Buffalo for RB Olandis Gary. He'll fill in nicely for the injured James Stewart, who most likely won't be ready until week 6. If Gary shows any of the talent he showed during his rookie year in Denver, he could be a star in this offense. Stewart may have a hard time getting his spot back when he returns.

I went and scored O. Gary, now what's chances of him being worthy of starting week 1?

I have Portis, S. Davis, TJ Duckett, and now O. Gary..

Portis is a shoe in, but who between Davis and Gary?

Davis. He's had a chance to work with his team's offense more than Gary has. But Gary could have a big year. He's a sleeper right now.

I agree Davis far and away, as the Lions have yet to name their starter for week one. Bryson and Gary may both get carries early on, although Gary will probably beat him out. Do you think this makes Willis more valuable in Buffalo, since he is now the only real option the Bills have besides Travis Henry?

Stewart is done for the year. He is probably also done in Detroit, as I believe his contract expires at season's end.

Buffalo had, at first, said they didn't even want McGahee to suit up this year. Then he held out on them. Then they signed him, brought him in for some workouts, and found that he was not as bad has they had thought when they drafted him. He could unseat Travis Henry by season's end. Keep in mind that McGahee was a easy top 5 pick, had he not been injured. He's got mad skills, and could be a superstar some day real soon.

Buffalo was going to cut Gary anyways, so they saw an opportunity to get something for nothing by trading him to Detroit. The Lions gave up a future draft pick to they wouldn't have to fight with other teams that might have wanted to claim him off the waiver wires. Good choice, IMO.
