ST. LUCIE WINS GAME ONE IN GRAND FASHION
The St. Lucie Mets defeated the Jupiter Hammerheads 5-1 behind incredible pitching and timely hitting.

St. Lucie starter Matt Peterson threw an incredible seven innings allowing just four hits, one earned run, NO walks and 11 punch outs. Blake McGinley threw a perfect eigth inning and Kole Strayhorn finished the ninth.

All the Mets runs were produced by one man, designated hitter Robert McIntyre. McIntyre was 2-for-3 with a grand slam, one run scored and five RBI. In the bottom of the second innings David Wright reached on an error and advanced to second on a 6-3 put out. McIntyre stepped in and punched a shot over the second baseman's head to plate Wright and even the score. In the bottom of the seventh, Frank Corr and Wright hit back to back singles. They both advanced a base on the left fielder's error. Chase Lambin was then intentionally walked to load the bases for McIntyre. The first offering from reliever Chris Key was crushed down the line and hit the middle of the left field foul pole and put the game out of reach. It was McIntyre's first grand slam as a professional.

The Mets will battle the Hammerheads in game two of the series at Roger Dean Stadium tommorrow. Gametime is 7:05pm and gates open at 6pm.
