Unless Wood just implodes, the Cubs are in pretty good shape for the series sweep. 5-0 good guys heading into the bottom of the 3rd! Randall Simon just unloaded! He murdered that ball for a 3-run homer.

well, kerry didnt implode, but he didnt pitch well at all today except when getting out of jams.
but sammy hit a homer and simon hit yet another homer. he drove in 5 today.
its 9-2 cubbies so far in the 8th (woody is done for the day now w/ kelton pinch hitting)

I fell asleep a little while after I posted this, so I didn't see a whole lot of the game. I did see about 5 innigs though, and Wood didnt pitch a single 1-2-3 inning in the time that I saw. He really has to get back on track for the playoffs. If the playoffs started today, he's be my 3rd starter with how hot Prior and Zamrano have been the whole second half.
Anyway, great series! The bats really came alive! Cubs sweep the series and they sweep the season series at Miller Park!
Lets bring this momentum into San Juan!:clap2:

Actually, on a different board I used to post at, I was saying the same thing (in my signature) about baseball season being over around the All-Star break when we were 5 games out or so.
What a season. Great series in Brewtown.
