So the question is, do you cheer for teams based on a possible matchup with the Sox, or do you cheer for teams that you like? I'd have to go with the prior:

Florida vs Giants: I'm pulling for the Marlins. The Giants would be tougher for us.

Cubs vs Braves: Cubs. I just hate the Braves too much to cheer for them.

Twins vs Yankees: :hmm:

Sure, but seeing the Yanks get knocked out by the Twins would be cooler.

For the Fish. The Braves can't beat the Giants. Actually, the Braves can't be Bonds and Cox won't pitch around him.

Interesting fact.

Pedro Martinez was the only pitcher NOT to intentionally walk a batter this year.

Why should he intentionally walk someone? If he wants to put someone on, he just beans them. GO PEDRO!

No way that will happen:nah

One can only hope though:D

I am hoping for either a Marlins/Sox WS so I can go to see the Sox in the WS in Miami or I guess I can make the road trip up to Ratlanta....

If none of those I'd like to see a Sox/Cubs series just because it would be cool with 2 of the best team fans in baseball:)

I am primarily an NL fan, but I can't stand any of the NL teams in the playoffs this year.

* As a loyal Mets fan, I loathe the Braves. LOATHE. They've won 12 straight division titles with VIRTUALLY NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. GO HOME! Plus, the fans in Ratlanta don't care, so why should I?

* The Marlins? Gimme a break. Jeffrey Loria is a dick, and he screwed over the fans in Montreal. Why should I root for his team now?

* The Giants? My mother was a huge Giants fan, and they abandoned her (her words, not mine). The Giants' leaving NYC is the reason my Mets exist. I guess I should feel something for them, but I just can't. Bonds is a jerk, and I just can't root for him. I still love Edgardo Alfonzo, but perhaps not enough.

* The Cubs? We broke their hearts in 1969 and they haven't won a WS since 1908. But, unlike the Sox, they never put a decent team on the field, which is why they're never in the mix. I can't respect them at all.

Now for the AL...

* The Twins? GREAT story, last year and this. I would love to see them beat the Skanks. In 3. By scores of 15-0.

* The A's? My grandfather and his brother were recruited by the A's, and they were huge fans back in the Philly days. But I just can't root for them. I hated them in the 1970s, and I can't root for them now.

* The Skanks? :barf: 'nuff said.

A Cubs/Sox WS would signal Armageddon, and I'm too young to die. So, in the final analysis, I want the Sox to win, and I don't care who they beat.

Is that wishy-washy enough? ;)
