no, i didnt make it downt there. i stayed at my local area, hamilton's (up near loyola). i figured i wouldnt be able to get in down there. I tried to get in a few friday night and they were ALL jampacked after the game.

So answer me this. The Cubs last won the World Series in 1908. They captured the National League Pennant in 1945. So why have some announces been saying they haven't won a post season series since 1908?? Hello!!! Wouldn't winning the 1945 flag have required winning in a post season series?? :duh:

nope. back before 1969 when they made divisions, if you had the best record in each league, you went to the World Series.

The Cubs are looking very very good and very strong. With those two horses at the top of the line up Wood and Prior they look like pitching under pressure is making them better. And if that is the case look out the darn Cubs could be finding something they have been looking for, for a very very long time. So far Wood is the post season MVP for MLB....

What I really stopped by to say was congratulations to Chicago for being fairly reserved in your celebrations compared to other times we've seen ... I was afraid, especially with the tempers over the garbage strike there, that a few goombah's would go off and ruin the good times ... Glad to see I was wrong once again.
