I feel bad for the Braves because they won their division how many consecutive years but ends up losing in the playoffs. :(

Yeah, I feel real bad for the Braves, too :hmm:
Seriously, they do deserve congrats for the fine season they had this year and the fine streack that have going ... The stars and planets were aligned just right for FLA and the Cubs this year.

How sweet it is. Wow, I HATE the Braves. Few teams deserve to lose as much as them, outside of the Yankees.
Oh, yeah...I feel really bad too.
Go home and get your golf clubs out, jerkasses. The Braves do well in the regular season, but in money time, they just can't cut it. Only REAL teams allowed in the Second Season! No idiots allowed! :no

Ah Princess...ease up a bit. Just venting, since I hate the Braves so much.
Seems that the real teams are the Red Sox, A's, Yankees, Marlins and Cubs, no?

Vent in your own damn forum, nobody asked you to come in here and bash them.
And thanks for the real sympathy. I'm just so damned tired of my boys losing in the playoffs. They just need to fire Cox come playoffs and hire him back come spring training.

wow...eeeeeeeeeeease up. relax, babe. it's baseball. a GAME. not politics, religion or anything to get upset over.
go watch Game 5 of the Boston-Oakland series, more than likely a truly great matchup, rediscover why you love the game so much, and come back refreshed and full of a sense of humor.
take things lightly. life is too short to take things so seriously.

John. Are you kidding me? Politics? Religion? Who gives a crap!
Baseball is important.
It isn't just YOU. I yell at everyone who bashes teams when they lose.
Some of us take it seriously. And it SUCKS when people come say haha you lost.
You want them to DIE.

Well, I can see what you mean. I don't have that feeling for the Red Sox as admittedly, I'm not a fan, but I do very much love the Celtics.
But hey, I guess the best defense is a sense of humor.

Just hope Pedro doesn't hurl too many of these beauties tonight.

If baseball was just a game, would players cry when they lost? Or go nuts when they win? If it was just a game, would it be our national pasttime? If it was just a game, would we live and die with every pitch? No!!! Baseball is more than a game, it's a way of life. To many people, baseball is just as important as politics, relgion, or anything to get upset over, if not more important!! It's a love, something that dies every winter and comes back to life every spring. If it were a game, would people spend as much money on it as they do? Would people devote their entire careers and lives as they do? No!! If you think that baseball is just a game, nothing to get riled up over, then you are in the wrong place.
And by the way...I'm a guy.

Nah, I definitely enjoy baseball and sports and talk sports with knowledgeable people who like to have fun with it. I'm in the right place. I just need to pick my spots better.

Good call John....
Not a good spot to rag on a team when they lose in the playoffs....
Trust me, I for one dislike the Braves as much as anyone but not cool to come into the Braves forum and throw salt on their fans wounds....
Trash talk in the Cubs forum if you'd like but not cool in here....
Politics? Religion? Who gives a crap!
I may not be a good person for saying this but I agree....Besides my son and family, there really is nothing more important to me than baseball....
I could care less about religion or politics....
Not sure if you have had the chance to see my tribute site but once you enter the site, on my main page, I have this on it:
What is it about summer nights that bring us back to our childhood?
Every kid dreams for that moment in the sun.
For baseball immortality can be reached by just a ball, a bat and some leather.
And sometimes with a little magic, a boys dream becomes a mans reality.
The greatest, of the game of baseball, is made from its marvelous moments that transend time.
Some of these images are so strong they will live forever.
Baseball can extend beyond its white lines and barriers can be broken.
The ball dropping from the sky ever so softly into a glove can mean so much to so many.
Heroes will rise to reach the unreachable. Others will fall.
The games great achievements are measured by a mans determination and desire for destiny.
These moments consistantly capture the attention of the American nation.
Baseball is us. It's part of America's heart and soul.
It's greatness is made up of solitary snapshots projected together into our country's conscious.

Not a good spot to rag on a team when they lose in the playoffs....
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be misunderstood at the same time. I could care less about ragging on a team when they lost in the playoffs. I merely meant, but "choosing my spots" is by partaking in conversations with those who would have some fun with things with a sense of humor. I obviously need to choose my spots better with those who don't take recreation and themselves so seriously.
With people who can handle it, I'll definitely talk smack and continue to have fun with discussing baseball and other sports on here. However, I thought I should make clear what my point was. I'm not the world's greatest writer, that's for sure, so I can easily tend to ramble and lose my way in making a point.
It's fine if you like baseball more than politics. I guess everyone has their own priorities. I could care less if any team loses, about 10 minutes after the game, as they could care less if I'm a fan. It's all about money. Definitely not about the fans. Sports...politics...religion...it's all about money, so maybe you're right on.
