I haven't read about it anywhere yet, so what the heck is the Curse of the Goat?????

ok, back in 1945 the owner of the billy goat tavern tried to bring his goat in to watch the game. When they turned him away, he said the cubs would never win another world series. they promptly lost games 6 and 7 of the WS.

The curse of the goat is a cute little story.

But the curse of Cubs ownership, through the years, has been the real culprit of their ill fortune.

Yikes. Now once the guy dies or died, the curse will be lifted, right???


How come the *owner* couldn't bring his goat in? Doesn't the owner basically make the rules?

no, the nephews tried back in 84 and 89. it didnt work. the owner died before the 84 LCS.
