FanFest 2002 details announced
Day-long celebration of baseball will feature 35 past and present O's

Current and former Orioles players and coaches will sign autographs, pose for photos with fans, and participate in question and answer forums as part of Orioles FanFest 2002 Presented by Giant Food, a day-long celebration of baseball with players, clinics, exhibits and live musical entertainment on Saturday, January 12, 2002.
In total, 35 past and present Orioles are scheduled to take part in FanFest activities. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Orioles FanFest 2002 includes interactive games; museum exhibits; Coca-Cola Little League Field featuring clinics for children; baseball card and memorabilia dealers; musical entertainment provided by The Kelly Bell Band; and autograph and photo sessions with current, past and future big league players. Question and answer forums will be conducted throughout the day, including "Memorial Stadium Memories" and "Rookie Reflections" sessions. Fans will also be able to take a tour of the Orioles clubhouse at Camden Yards as part of their admission.
Newly signed free agent Marty Cordova and 2001 Most Valuable Oriole Jeff Conine are expected to participate in autograph and photo sessions and fan forums. Other current Orioles scheduled to participate include John Bale, Mike Bordick, Jay Gibbons, Buddy Groom, Jerry Hairston, Willie Harris, Jason Johnson, Fernando Lunar, Calvin Maduro, John Parrish, Chris Richard, Matt Riley, Brian Roberts, Willis Roberts, B.J. Ryan and Josh Towers.
Orioles Manager Mike Hargrove and new first base coach Rick Dempsey are scheduled to participate in autograph sessions and fan forums. Orioles coaches Terry Crowley, Sam Perlozzo and Mark Wiley are also expected to take part in the day's activities.
Former Orioles scheduled to take part include Paul Blair, Don Buford, Al Bumbry, Joe Durham, Mike Flanagan, Dave Johnson, Tippy Martinez, Scott McGregor, Larry Sheets, Ken Singleton, Bill Swaggerty and Mark Williamson.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 14 and under and senior citizens and are available in advance at the Orioles Box Office or by calling the Orioles at 410-685-9800. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the event at the Convention Center and the Orioles Box Office. Fans who present a Giant Food Bonus Card will receive $1 off an adult admission.
