How much longer do you think Grady will be allowed to keep his job after last night's debacle?

Ray, I didn't think I could laugh. Why do you think I put that option on the list? ;)

First, I am real sorry about last night. I really hoped you guys would win. Some may know I grew up in NY and even though I am a diehard Bucco fan, I also pulled for the Yankees. In this case though, I really did NOT want them to win. It would have been nice to see you all shake the probelms and make it. Now, as for Grady, how can you all be so tough on him? If Pedro had gotten out of the inning Grady would have been the hero. Why isn't Trot Nixon being blamed more? He TOTALLY blew that fly ball. His read and jump was terribl and he still had a shot and missed it. There is no way you can do that in a big game! That being said, it isn't totally his fault either, but that would have been two outs and could have changed everything. The way Timlin pitched in the series, I too was amazed that Pedro kept staying out there though. When he came out the first time and Pedro said he was ok, I understood that, but after the next hit, it was amazing he stayed in. All I can say there, is that your pen was pretty awful during the season. It may have been a trust thing. I felt bad for Wakefield. If you all had won, he might have been the MVP. He laomsot single handedly kept the Sox in it by winning two starts. Then one great relief inning before the blast. Oh well. I am off the Grady topic, but didn;t he help get you all there this year? Doesn't that account for something? I know Boston is almost as tough on players and managers as the Yankees, but I would still have Little there next year. Maybe we can trade you straight up. Littel for Lloyd MCClendon.

The game was 5-2. Our pen had been LIGHTS OUT all playoffs.

Pedro was gassed in the 7th. Leaving him in was INEXCUSABLE.

He cost us MANY games this year. None as big as this though.

I'd vote "other". I'd re-sign Little to a contract extension for at least next season. He's laid back and helped get the team that far into the playoffs with many things (leaving Garciaparra in the 3rd slot in the lineup the entire postseason, doing hit and runs and sending runners at unconventional times). The only thing I'd disagree with him on is continuously subbing in Damian Jackson for Todd Walker, the team's best postseason batter. Seeing Jackson in there was brutal.

But, he is low key and creates no waves, and it's obvious the team likes him and respects him. There were no bad incidents at all in the clubhouse. You can't ask for better results. Keep him on.

I would have been tempted to stick with Pedro as well.

I chose option 3.

Has a Club-option on his contract for next year at $500,000.

Well obviously, if they keep him, for next year, the fans will get more out of control and they'll be more problems, and he'll probably even have to watch out when he sleeps. so he'll probably be realeased, bop!

Remember McTavish, who is now the coach of the OILERS (NHL) he was with the bruins, very good player, but after he was drunk and crashed and killed someone, when he came back to play in Boston, everyone threatened him, and so on, so they had to trade him, for his safety.
