for a limited time only, if the buyer pays the shipping for Grady Little, not only will you receive Grady Little, but you will also get Dusty Baker. That's two great managers both fully capable of bringing your team to within 5 outs of the world series and dashing your hearts. Act now!

That's great!!!

You have now lost my support.

Damn lucky I didn't see Weaver's..I was told about it too late...I would have bid negative numbers!!!

Never mind.

Is this whole thing a joke? After all, how can you own Grady Little?

It's awfully nice of the seller to include Dusty. Cubs fans don't seem to be quite as ready to dump their manager.

I sent it to a guy here at work, and he's passed it along to friends of his. And I'm waiting with bated breath to hear what the local ESPN affiliate has to say. I sent it to them too. :D

$19,000,100.

The local ESPN guys (one of whom is a Yankee-hater) is saying that the Yankees should vote Grady a WS share if they win.

I have one. Perhaps I'll try it. ;)

That sucks.

Everyone said reason for cancelling was "fun" or "fun is over."

Cyberlibrarian
10-18-2003, 10:24 AM
I didn't hear anything about the cancellation. I e-mailed the page to Wally & the Keeg on ESPN radio here in NYC, and heard them talking about it, but didn't get a chance to hear what happened when they cancelled the auction.

I thought it was hilarious myself. :lmao:
