Because I'm starting to feel bad for Grady.
:help:
Please tell me it's okay to hate Grady. Please tell me I can be mad. Please.
People want him dead. Really.
He doesn't understand why folks are angry.
I always do this. I despise someone, then they get hurt, and I feel bad.
PLEASE TELL ME I DON'T HAVE TO FEEL BAD!

Peter Gammons called Grady Donnie Moore.

I'm more mad at Pedro than Grady. Pedro should have had the balls to say "I'm all washed up" instad "nope, I'm good". but I'm a little mad at Grady too cuz the first batter after the trip to the mound and Pedro should have been pulled. :banghead

It's Grady's fault we're not in the World Series. It's his fault you haven't gotten any sleep. It's also his fault that the fans are angry. It's his fault he's being sold for 89 million on Ebay, his fault Yankee fans are celebrating, and his fault we're not happy!!! You have every right to hate him. If he doesn't know why people are angry, he's a jackass

Thanx Frag!:clap2:
Jen, please hear me out. It's not Pedro's decision. Pedro is supposed to say it's okay, he's an athlete. I would have hated him if he wanted out ala Clemens. Pedro is NOT too blame.
Grady is.

Exactly Jac. If Pedro had WANTED to come out, I'd lose every last bit of respect for him that I have left. It's admirable to NOT want to come out.
The guys on our radio in NY are saying that the NYYs should send him a WS share. That he should have his own plaque in Monument Park.
What he did ranks up there in the annals of boneheadedness. It is inexcusable and unacceptable. You CANNOT leave your starter in when he's getting rocked. Dusty did the same thing, and he's home watching the WS too.
I dont think its a bad thing, you feel bad only cuz youre human. And you have real feelings. Im not going to say its ok, or its not ok, to feel bad for him, but its human nature. Dont take it personally. :D

Grady ruined another generation. We will NEVER go to another WS. Never. This was the last hurrah.:(

Dam PP,
Its must be your scent or something, when you were gone, it was just basically me and maybe Frag in here. It was like a ghost town. But now since you came back on, everyone is flocking in here. What you have in that perfume??? :notme:

I feel for you.
I broke 6 pencils in 1 minute in '99 after Leiter gave up 5 in the 1st (age 8) and cried for about 1/2 an hour when Benitez blew his 2nd vital save against the Braves in '01 (age 10).

I'd agree too, mostly because at least then, it was someone who was playing who made the mistake. This time, it wasn't even someone in the effing game that lost it.

This is FAR worse than Buckner. That was Game 6.
This was an elimination game.
Buckner should feel good, he's off the hook now. There's a new villain in town.

Princess, here I am with your daily dose of "don't worry, be happy" It was a bad decision or indecision on Grady's part, and it's always tough when the wheels come off after being so close ... But try not to be real upset for real long ... It really isn't good for you and there's just a lot of other good things to occupy yourself with in this world.
We've got Halloween coming up, and I think we should have a costume party here at Addicts somehow ... Then there's Walter Johnson's 116th birthday on Nov 6th ;) After that we have Vet's Day :usa:
Next we slide into :turkey: Day.
Then we've got bowl games and NFL games and before you know it, :xmas: jumps up and bites you on the tush and it's :Partyguy New Year's Eve.
I'm asking Santa for scented oils and some leather goods this year, how 'bout y'all? :freak:

Im home now, but on the way home, I was listening to WEEI. I swear, I laughed soo hard that I almost got into an accident.
People called in and left messages on their machine, Im pretty sure PP know this part of the program.
Some of the messages that I can remember:
"COWBOY UP YOURS GRADY!"
"Bad news, the Sox lose, the good news, I saved alot on my car insurance." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
"Dont take it so hard Grady, even Zim couldnt take out Pedro" (that was kinda tasteless, but funny as hell)
"Hi, this is the groundscrew of Fenway, can you guys send some turpentine, this World Series paint is hard to get off grass."
There were alot more. I cant remember all of them. :D

Sorry guys. I just got home from dinner with the Units.
Anyway, I am still getting over the fact that Metsfan is only 12. I have shoes older than that!
BTW, I also have an item of clothing that's older than Obri -- my college sweatshirt. It's a bit ragged, but still very comfy. :)
