Look on the bright side, if you never became a sports fan, you would have never joined this forum, and you would have never met us. :D

Also, you would have cared less when the Pats won the SB. Also, when the Celts won those championships in the 80's.

I was always told, a great sports fan is a passionate one. And I have never met a greater sports fan than you PP. You made me a passionate fan also.

yup. thats why we love our teams, even when they kick us in the stomach and stomp all over our hearts.

this year hurts.

I'm sorry I did that. You don't deserve to have your heart stomped on too.

I don't blame him Ray. As of this moment, I'm not sure I'll ever watch another Sox game.

BTW, today's Bergen Record has a brief article on the possibility of Bobby Valentine going to manage the Sox.

PP I know nothing can be said to ease the pain. Being a life long Vikings fan I know what you are going though. The game 4 years ago when the Vikes was going to the Super Bowl and they were killing the falcons and for some reason they then quit playing and there kicker that didnt miss a field goal all year misses one that he hits in his sleep and they then go onto lose the game. Even though the Vikes dont have the history of the Red Sox they cant win the big game also. And I fear that the Vikes are setting us up for the biggest heart break yet again this year.

Yes it hurts but that is the great thing about spring training. Everything is new and fresh. Every team is starting out all over again. New hopes and everyone has hopes to be the team to go all the way and all the fans hope that also (unless you are a tiger or rockie fan:cry: ) So here is to spring training and a fresh new start and the hope for a new year.:drinkin:

Thanx DD, but the Sox are done. This was their shot. The team won't break .500 next year. We're looking at a long rebuilding process.:(

How can you say they won't be .500 next year? They will have another team with a 100+ million dollar payroll. How could they not be competitive? (OK, ignore the Mets here.)

They'll be fine. Hell, I bet they win the division next year.

Too many players had career years. Too many players will be gone. Boston is SCREAMING for radical changes.

That's WHY.

I was going to argue with you, but you know what? I know arguing with you about the Red Sox is a losing battle. :)

You have Pedro, Wakefield, Lowe. Pretty solid bullpen now.

Manny right in the middle of your lineup.

Pretty solid throughout the rest.

Yall just blew it at the very end vs. the Skanks, you had that game won. It was just a choke job and a blown managing job by Grady. You guys have a solid team.

The Pats are somehow surviving, the Celts just made a HuGE trade, and all sports radio is talking about is GRADY CHICKEN LITTLE!

The WEEI POLL: Should Grady be back.

Results: 6,900 NO

1 YES...(his wife?):umm

Grady sucks.

If you shitcan him, and get a good manager...something you guys haven't had in a while...there is no reason this team won't win a lot next year.

Curse, shmurce. (I tried to rhyme)

You guys lost in 86 because Buckner wasn't subbed out of the game for defense.

You guys lost this year because Grady is a dumbsh!t.

You can't lose forever!
