At first I was too disappointed to think straight.

But this Yankee team has given me too much to cheer about this season. It's been a great season, despite the final outcome. To come back from being no-hit by Houston in June all the way to the World Series is something to smile about :)

I'm proud of them. They showed a lot of heart this year. Shame it ended that way.


Hope you guys are doing okay :(

Right back attcha Dan...great season and we plain and simple got beat! hell, what would be the fun in it if we won all the time anyway, right.
I feel kind of bad cuz i'm not totally destroyed over the loss...guess I've figured out there's more to life than baseball but it still sucks we lost:banghead :banghead

Absolutely nothing for Yanks fans to hang their head about ... It was a great postseason and FLA will simply go down in history as pulling off three pretty solid playoff upsets ... To tear down the Yankees for the loss is totally wrong since I think this is a great example of when you just have to give the other side all the credit you can, regardless of what the stats say about hitting with runners in scoring position or booting grounders or whatever.

As for the notion that Steinbrenner is already working on getting Beckett in pinstripes from another thread, that's a pretty silly statement ... First off, George is working on getting rid of a few people right now, not bringing more in, and some of his employees are working on getting out of Dodger ... So until all of that is decided, nobody new will come aboard ... Secondly, that attitude smacks of exactly why people turn into "yankee haters," that being the idea that Steinbrenner will simply go out and buy every solid player that comes along ... Lastly, Beckett's not a free agent and other than Rocket, Moose and maybe Mo Rivera, I can't think of anyone on the current NYY roster that FLA would take in return for the potential that Beckett has.

Hats off to you guys...Kel, Milky, obri..It's nice to read that your not ripping your team apart.

Last night I was at a bar watching the game and several people around me who were So-Called Yankee fans( I say So called because I've known these people for years and they have never mentioned any care about the Yankees until they are in the play-off's) kept mentioning how the Yankees should be ashamed of themselves. Now everyone knows I dislike the Yankees, but ASHAMED??? Come on now!! This angered me. ( imagine that!! me defending the Yankees) Why? I asked. The explanation I got was.." because there the Yankees and they sucked playing these games"

How annoying is that??? these were the same people who after 9 innings of saying that Florida suxed and didn't even deserve to be in the WS to begin with, clapped for the Marlins and said Good Job!!!

Some people should be banned from watching baseball!!!

Yes...... hats off to you guys. And to the Yankees. This series was extremely exciting and fun to watch. I even ended up with some admiration for some of the Yanks! :eek: :D I was nervous with Pettitte pitching last night. He is so solid, and I do think he's an incredible pitcher.

The Yanks just had the bad luck of being up against that bulldozer Beckett last night.

I sort of felt bad for them sitting in the dugout. Especially Soriano, when they showed him crying. :(

I know you know that the Yankees will always find a way to be back in the playoffs and battling away the next year.

So, my condolences to all of you guys.

HAHA I go through the same thing here :hmm:

All of a sudden all my friends are "Yankee Fans" and they all were "so pissed" after Game 6 :hmm:
