I just wanted to say how impressed I've been with the way you guys (and gals) have carried yourself throughout the playoffs. Since you guys are fans of the winningest franchise you tend to get a lot of people against you for that (myself included at times, nothing personal).

All throughout the playoffs you spoke well of your opponents and their fans even when you were getting some abuse and some unfair generalities thrown your way. Kudos to you on a great season, which it was even without the Ring. Out of the Yankee teams in the last few years I thought this one was the weakest and they still made it to the Series!

Good post Slush!

It's pretty obvious that none of the people who post here was at the bar with me last night. The people last night were the awful ones. The ones who give you guys a bad name. The ones who made gratuitously nasty comments to those of us who were celebrating as they left the bar within a split second of the final out.

Thanks guys!:D
Guess that's the difference between real fans and bandwagon jumpers!

You got that right.

Actually, it makes me crazy to think that, when the Mets take over NYC again (and they will. mark my words), these people will claim to have bled blue and orange all their lives. :hmm:

And that is why I have will continue to keep my season ticket plan, regardless of how badly the team may do. I want to make sure I'm there next time.

That's how I felt in the 70's and 80's Juls...everybody that was a Yankee fan..deserted then..but oh yeah..they decided they were Yankees fans again in the 90's...:no

Well, I completely disagree. I never had to moderate so much in my life. I thought most people behaved horribly, and sadly, I lost a lot of respect for people because of it.

I think the core of Yankee fans(who Slushy is referring to) behaved well. There were others who did not respect other people, and I acknowledge that. But I think the regulars, including myself, behaved reasonably well. Like yourself PP, we had to be more alert than ever, but overall, most kept their dignity.
