Well, Cashman has declined the option on Wells, so he's a free agent. He wouldn't say anything about Boomer's health, given that he's now testing the market, but didn't rule out the possibility that he could be back under different circumstances.:hmm:

Boomer, thanks for the memories. All the best.

I have a serious question for the Yankee fans here.

If people who love the Yankees talk about the organization's "class," then why is Boomer so popular? He is the ANTITHESIS of class. The man is a disgusting pig who has no understanding of the concept of "class."

This is not an attempt to insult any Yankee fans. This is a serious question from someone on the outside looking in.

Because he's a good pitcher Juls! I personally don't care what he does in his personal life..provided he doesn't do something like beat up his wife or anthing of that nature.

Back to Boomer...the way his back was going out..maybe we could put him in the pen if we decide to make a deal...he did good out of the pen in the post season!! And God knows we need help there!!

I dunno, I'd still like to see Boomer re-sign if his back can hold up. He's had two solid seasons since he's come back, and if they work a fitness clause into his contract i think he's worth the shot :). Plus, our rotation next season is sketchy as it is.

As for the Yankees' "class", there are always exceptions. Boomer is one of them.

Boomer is 34-14 over the last 2 years....The Yankees need to resign him to an incentive filled contract.............
