Alright, I'm gonna keep all my Bulls thoughts in one thread unless there is some sort of big news. This is where I'm gonna come to recap, vent, brag, complain, b****, moan, rejoice, celebrate, and whatever the hell else about my favorite team. Even though they are kind of slow coming together, there is obvious improvement over teams from years past.

Tonight was a good night. The Bulls beat the Celtics 89-82 to improve to 4-5. They were 9-18 from 3-point land. Curry had a double-double, and Rose led the way with 20 points. Kendall Gill had 12 first quarter points, and Scottie Pippen showed off his leadership ability in the 4th quarter.

I read last night that he's still on crutches. He will probly be back after next season starts. Hopefully, anyway.

What happened last ngiht they played great but Sprewells 3 just killed me and put in OT then I would have wanted Pippen to have the ball and shoot at that time since no time outs and with his experience! But not

Crawford got hurt man that was real scary i saw it last night i went crazy i felt pain ne news on that?

bd811

He sprained his neck. I thought he broke it when it first happened! Luckily he didnt.

Jalen Rose should not have the ball at the end of the game. He wants to be a team leader, but he is in no way. He missed so many last second shots last year and then he missed that free throw last night that cost us the game. He's a whining prima donna., Our leaders are guys like Pip and Gill who can hit shots in the clutch and they let their games do the talking. Or better yet, Pip basically led a team meeting after Crawford and, conveniently enough, Jalen Rose were upset and disputing Cartwright's decision publicly.

i didnt get to see it but the bulls lost, naturally. they were showing improvement the first few games of the season but theyve fallen into a 4 game losing streak.

The Lakers were loosing and Kobe singlehandenlly brought them back into it with Shaq out with an injury..
Guys look at Malone GEEEZ 18 rebounds plus 14 points!!! Thats awesome.

What's Happened:
The Bulls losing streak has reched six games.
Cartwright is gone as coach, and it looks like Scott Skiles will replace him, which I like.
The Toronto trade hasn't gone through yet, but apparently the teams are still talking. I doubt anything happens with it though.

Yeah...Whats happened with the Bulls? They were expected to make the playoffs this year but they are in the wrong end of the table...in last place. I dont know if they just dont wanna play or they just really suck. They need to pick it up or they'll start rebuilding again.

bd811
11-27-2003, 04:44 PM
they need a disciplinarian, who theyre getting in Skiles. All of them, Rose, Crawford, Curry, Marshall, think they run the team but theyre in for a rude awakening as soon as Skiles takes charge.

After game one of "the new era" I like what I see. Bulls over Bucks 97-87. Crawford had 30 points, Curry 22, and as for the newcomers, Williams had 13 and Davis added 11.

Crawford had 3 steals and Williams had 4. Williams also led the team in rebounding with 10. Hinrich and Crawford each had 8 assists.

Both new players played with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm and it really rubbed off on the rest of the team and got the crowd into it also. So far the trade doesnt look bad, but I wont judge it by 1 game. But so far I like what I see.

When general manager John Paxson trades Roger Mason Jr. to Toronto for Rick Brunson on Dec. 15, the first day Brunson is eligible to be traded, he also will have to mend fences.

"I really don't care for that dude (Brunson) at all," Chris Jefferies said Friday. "I know that a lot of people [in Toronto] don't like him. His whole attitude isn't about team. He has a lot of hidden agendas and I try to keep myself away from people like that."

Jefferies' claim of trouble in Toronto runs counter to the professional image Brunson cultivated with the Bulls last season, which is a main reason Paxson and coach Scott Skiles want him as a veteran reserve point guard. That's why Brunson fired back at his former and soon-to-be current teammate.

"Discredit my game, but don't discredit my character," Brunson said. "This is coming from a guy who only cares about himself. There are only two things wrong with that guy. He can't play. And he can't be coached. That's a bad combination. And I'll tell that to his face."

Jefferies added that Brunson alienated other players in Toronto by being a spy for coach Kevin O'Neill.

"If Antonio [Davis] was saying this, I'd be upset because he's a pro," Brunson said. "But this is coming from a guy who only cares about himself. I'm not a rat."

Jefferies spoke out knowing Brunson will be traded here.

"I don't care," Jefferies said. "On the court, I have to be his teammate. But I don't have to talk to him anytime else." …

These guys had better learn to like each other, cuz they're gonna be spending a lot of time together in the exclusive group of players who spend the season on the injured list.

exactly. neither will see a lot of minutes so Ill be even more pissed if a couple no-name-no-impact reserves ruin whatever team chemistry these guys have.

Whatever the bottom line is the Bulls lost again tonight.:hmm:

Scottie Pippen missed his eighth game Monday night, and it's looking less likely he'll hit the Bulls' goal of playing 60 games. "I am obviously concerned," general manager John Paxson said. "Scottie wants to be out there. If he felt he could play, he'd be out there. I was hopeful his knee would feel better than it has. I've got to give him a chance to see if he can get it right. The thing that hurts our team the most is when he's been on the court we've been better. Even the last two games there were situations, taking the ball out of bounds in Philadelphia, where he could make a difference."

Pippen had his knee drained again Monday. It is believed to be at least the third time it has been necessary this season, and players usually are out about a week after such procedures. The last time, Pippen insisted on playing, which resulted in the problem recurring. …

This deal for Pip really hasnt been as good as was hoped. The guy just cant stay healthy anymore. Its good to have him back on the team and he helps when he is able to play and everything but he just cant stay healthy.:(

Hahaha... Why did they even trade for Brunson? Why throw wood in the fire?

bd811
12-15-2003, 11:56 PM
Hinrich and Mason were their only point guards, They wanted someone with 'experience.'--one of the most overrated things about a player in my opinion, depending on the scenario, and in this case, it's very overrated. Not worth destroying team chemistry to transfor a bad 2nd-year guy into a bad veteran./

Good news: The Bulls won for their second straight game, and may slowly be crawling out of the cellar.
Bad news: Eddy Curry has been placed on the injured list and will be out 2-4 weeks.
Good news: Kirk Hinrich continues improving, scoring 21 to go with 9 assists in tonights game against the Magic
Bas news: Scottie Pippen was offically placed on the DL today.
Good news:Kendall Gill had a monster contribution tonight, scoring 29 points on 13-17 shooting.
Bad news: The Bulls play Detroit next.
Good news: Marcus Fizer is averaging 14.6 points since coming off the DL

News: Rick Brunson is back.

42 points tonight against Washington! He really snapped out of his mini slump over the last 2 games! Bulls win for the second time in 2 days!

We're off tomorrow and then we have Miami on Monday. The Bulls have a shot at winning that one and extending their streak to 3 if Crawford keeps this up. But the day after that we got the TWolves, who always seem to cream us no matter what. :ugh:

Chandler needs to get back and help the Bulls. He was averaging a double-double. And Curry needs to imporve his performance.

Skiles is workin real hard to get Curry into shape. He said he doesnt believe he has ever been in proper NBA shape. His first game back, the other night, Curry looked tired and kept lookin at Skiles to take him out, but the Bulls broadcasters said Skiles would not look at Curry. They said he was leaving him in to run him into shape.

bd811
01-03-2004, 04:07 AM
i havent heard anything yet, but as soon as i do, ill post it here. I have a feeling he wont be playing a whole lot the rest of the season, regardless of when he comes back. seems like somethin that will be recurring all year.

Bulls beat the Knicks tonight! Curry, Crawford and Hinrich all played well. Hinrich is having a very good season and he is a very talented player. He should be mentioned any time someone starts talking about the top rookies. He hustles, passes, scores, plays defense well. He is reminding a lot of people of Stockton!

Fizer got in the game tonight but he played like crap, so he probly wont be back in for a few games.

bd811
01-06-2004, 12:56 AM
Bulls beat the 8-man Suns! I kept gettin the feeling they were going to let this one slip away, building up leads and then letting Phoenix come back to tie every time. Leonardo Barbosa had a huge game for Phoenix, scoring a career high 25 points.

Hinrich continues to impress me, with 19 points, and some hustle plays, drawing 2 offensive fouls and blocking a shot down low.

JYD had another double double, his 6th since coming to the Bulls. Many people are calling him Dennis Rodman without the baggage. He hustles and does all the little things right, and plays so intense.

The Bulls have some hard-working players out there, in JYD, Hinrich, Gill, AD, and Blount. They also have some raw players who don't hustle quite as much in Curry, ERob, Fizer, and Crawford. If the latter four can learn something from the first 5, it can be a scary team!

Oh by the way, Tony, Pippen worked out today and told the Bulls broadcasters that he feels great and hinted that he may return within the next few days. I don't think Pippen has played with Williams and Davis yet(if he has it hasn't been for long), so I am interested to see how the team gels after getting Pip back.

I am even more interested to see how they come together with everyone they have plus Pip AND Tyson.

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls center Eddy Curry reported to a Cook County judge Wednesday, one day after a warrant was issued for the player's failure to appear in traffic court.

The 21-year-old Curry missed a court appearance Tuesday for traffic tickets for speeding and driving with a license that was suspended for violation of Illinois emission laws.

A warrant was issued, allowing for Curry to be apprehended if he was stopped for another reason.

The warrant was lifted by Judge Timothy J. Chambers when Curry appeared Wednesday, and a new hearing was set for Feb. 19.

Curry said he thought the original court date was in February.

"I definitely wouldn't have skipped out on that. I don't want to go to jail," Curry said.
