Who wants to go??? I just got the irresistable urge to go dancing...I'm soooo going out tomorrow night, now. Cyn..you go dancing..do you ever just all of a sudden get the biggest urge to go out and dance the whole night?? I wanna go hip hop dancing!! :biggrin: :biggrin: Or maybe some merengue..I just want to MOVE.

i haven't actually gotten to go swing dancing since carrie and I broke up.... it is SO much fun. I love it. Every now and then I pop a swing CD in and then i really want to go do it.

well i haven't honestly gone linedancing in quite sometime. Country is the only true form of music to line dance to. I know they try it with other forms of music but it just doesnt have that same feel. Most anything by Brooks and Dunn works great for line dancing.....

I'm not a great dancer, but I love to dance...it's all about having a good time. I'll bet that you feel 100% fantastic after a night of dancing!!

You said in another post that you were in a dance troupe and you danced some hip/hop...do you ever go out to clubs that play that music? Cause over here they have that music at pretty much every club...every house party..every dance..you know..so people can get their freak on. ;) :biggrin:

And yes, Shakira looks hot in that video...she has some really cool songs in spanish as well..back when she was a brunette/red-head. :biggrin:

i once had to do a striptease for acting class (we all had to do one) and it was sooooo unbelievably FUN!!!! and it's not really about getting naked or taking off your clothes, but it's about THE DANCING and the expression and the flirting with the chair or whatever you use (i love when dancers work off of a chair.... madonna, flashdance, etc).... i actually did it to that song "you can leave your hat on" and i borrowed my dad's pinstriped suit and got a man's hat to match:biggrin: it looked mad cool:cool: and the class was shocked to see me do the striptease (they didn't see it coming):biggrin: but boy, how FUN FUN FUN! it's not unlike reggae dancing or salsa/latin dancing or belly dancing in that you're coming from the same place of expression imo....... God, i love to dance!!!! and yes i was in a dance group and i used to LOVE LOVE LOVE hiphop dancing.... but i haven't danced in a while (it feels like eternity) so i have this secret fear that i FORGOT how!:uhoh: i guess cuz i wanna be as good as i was before, and i know that is not the case now....although if i keep dancing, i could get there again..... *sigh* i hate having to feel like i ALWAYS have to be good at something, or the thing that i used to be good at:hmm: .....they have all kinds of clubs over here with all kinds of music........

That is awesome about the dance group!! I'm sure, though, that once you started to dance everything would come back to you...dancing is kinda like that..once you learn a move well you don't easily forget it once you get back into it.

and the striptease!! OH MY!! :uhoh: :biggrin: I can see how it would have been fun, though, to be all sexy and just let go of all inhibitions like that without having to worry..cause it IS an acting class, after all..I bet the guys were going mad crazy, though. ;)

I love to dance anything..some things I suck at, but I'm learning..I really like to dance to 80's music because it's so free form..you can just move and not really worry about a certain style...it's ultimate fun:) ..I prefer Merengue to Salsa..but both are great also..hip/hop and rap I'm just learning to dance to..I can move pretty well..but when it gets into all the other stuff, I'm not so good at it..but my friends Danny and ernie have been teaching me, so hopefully I'll pick up some good moves...swing dancing is lots of fun, too, though I don't know too much of it...I just like dancing period.
I actually used to think that I hated to dance. But that was just because when I used to dance I was so self-conscious about it and I thought everyone was making fun of how horrible I danced, but then I realized that I just had to go out there and do my own thing and that no one cares as long as you're having a good time...and it worked!
