UPDATE: CITIZENS BANK PARK
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BALLPARK ART ON DISPLAY IN PHILADELPHIA
Fans now have the chance to enjoy the new ballpark in art
form.
Max Mason, a renowned artist who teaches painting at the
University of Pennsylvania, has been commissioned by the
Phillies to produce three large murals for the scoreboard
restaurant at Citizens Bank Park. He is exploring
representations of three Phillies homes: Connie Mack
Stadium, Veterans Stadium and Citizens Bank Park.
Samples of Mason's work, which includes paintings that
capture the construction of Citizens Bank Park as well as
his passion for baseball, will be on display until
December 3 at the Gross McCleaf Gallery, 127 South
Sixteenth Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102. For more
information, call 215-655-8138.
BUILDING A BALLPARK FROM THE GROUND UP - DIGITALLY
A quick look on phillies.com and you'll find 3D virtual views of seat locations in the new ballpark...3D virtual tours...fly-thru videos and animations...high-resolution still renderings...cinematography and more. It provides the vision of Citizens Bank Park,
transformed into a digital reality.
Since the ballpark was in the design phase three years ago,
AEI Digital has been involved in sharing the excitement of
the ballpark. Working with the Phillies, as well as architects and contractors, they've taken actual samples of different ballpark materials, scanned them into their computers, and manipulated images to create a realistic look of Citizens Bank Park.
