Bly finishes first among NFC cornerbacks
By James Royer

ALLEN PARK, Mich. - Detroit Lions cornerback Dre' Bly, with 242,369 votes, was first among all NFC cornerbacks and had the seventh-most votes amongst all NFC defensive players in the fan balloting for the 2004 Pro Bowl the NFL announced today.

With six interceptions, Bly is tied for fifth in the NFL in that category and has matched a career high which he set in 2001 with the St. Louis Rams.

The squads will be announced Wednesday, December 18 on the 2004 Pro Bowl Selection Show on ESPN. The Pro Bowl, the 25th to be played in Honolulu, Hawaii, will be televised live on ESPN at 7:30 PM ET (2:30 PM HT) on February 8.

The consensus ballots of NFL fans, players and coaches each count one-third towards determining the 43-man rosters that will represent the American and National conferences at Aloha Stadium.

The thing I never understood was why would you sign to a bad team from one of the best?? I know its all about money, but how fun can it be when youre always losing??? Doesnt make sense to me. :notme: ANyways, I like Bly too. Im happy he still gets recognize even though hes a Lion now.
