2001 Broadcasters

Phillies fans who couldn't make it out to the ballpark had no trouble catching their favorite team in action this season. A total of 151 regular season Phillies games, including three national games on FOX, were televised in 2001.

The schedule included 104 telecasts on Comcast SportsNet (CSN), 45 telecasts on WPSG-UPN 57, nine telecasts on CN8, and three national games on FOX. All 158 regular season, locally-televised games were produced by CSN. In addition, UPN 57 aired a 30-minute pre-game show, Phillies Weekly, for each of its Sunday afternoon telecasts.

Harry Kalas, who is in his 31st season with the club, led the returning veteran broadcast team. He shared the Phillies' television on-air responsibilities with Chris Wheeler, celebrating his 25th year in the booth, and Larry Andersen, in his fourth year behind the microphone.

During televised games, the trio rotated with veterans Andy Musser and Scott Graham for the radio broadcasts.. Musser returned for his 26th year with the Philies, while Graham was in his third season of play-by-play duties. Tom McCarthy, a former announcer with the Trenton Thunder, hosted 70 Phillies pregame shows and a full season of post-game shows.

In addition, longtime Philadelphia sports anchor Ron Burke joined the team as the host of Phillies Weekly every Sunday.
