Royals Television Network
FOX Sports Net, a member of the FOX Sports Net family of regional sports networks, begins its fifth year as the television carrier of the Royals. The network carries a wide variety of sports teams and events including extensive Big 12 and Pac-10 packages, NHL and NBA games and college basketball from major conferences in addition to several other Major League Baseball teams.
FOX Sports Net televised 81 Royals games in 2001. The total included both over-the-air and cable games (30 games) and represented expanded coverage of both home and road games.
Bob Davis
Bob enters his sixth season as the play-by-play voice of the Royals Television Network...is a nine-time winner of the Kansas Sportscaster of the Year award...has been the voice of the Kansas Jayhawks for the past 17 years and serves as the morning sports anchor for KMBZ-Radio...prior to his stint with the Jayhawks, Davis spent 16 years announcing Fort Hays State games, earning a spot in the school's Athletic Hall of Fame...he has also been the radio voice for the NCAA women's Final Four basketball championships...a native of Topeka, Bob graduated from Topeka West High School and Washburn University...resides in Lawrence, Kan., with his wife, Linda and son, Steven.

Paul Splittorff
Paul has worked each of the last 14 seasons as the analyst on the Royals Television Network...the Royals Hall of Famer and all-time winningest pitcher in club history has worked in broadcasting since retiring in 1984 after pitching in the Royals organization since 1968...during his 15-year career he compiled a 166-143 record with a 3.81 ERA in 429 games...in addition to his work as a baseball broadcaster Paul keeps busy in the winter months broadcasting college basketball...he serves as an analyst for the Big 12 Conference and works locally on telecasts of Kansas State University and UMKC...his baseball and basketball broadcasting work are the result of his two sport (baseball and basketball) college days at Morningside College in Iowa...Paul and his wife Lynn have a daughter, Jennifer and son, Jaime.

KMBZ-AM (980) in Kansas City is the Royals flagship station, and is owned by Entercom Kansas City.
Entercom, the largest privately held "radio only" company in the nation, was founded in 1968 by Joseph M. Field who is CEO. Entercom operates 95 radio stations in 18 markets including Kansas City, Boston, Buffalo, Memphis, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Sacramento, Portland, Ore., Seattle and Wichita. Entercom is currently the radio rightsholder for the Boston Celtics and Red Sox, New Orleans Saints and Seattle Mariners and Seahawks, as well as numerous major college teams. KMBZ has carried the Royals in 28 of the club's first 34 seasons.
Denny Matthews
Denny Matthews has 33 years behind the microphone for the Royals. He has broadcast exclusively for the same team, without interruption, in five different decades...there are fewer than 10 people who have done that, all of whom are in the broadcaster's wing of the Baseball Hall of Fame...has seen more Royals games than anyone else during his 33 years with KC...was chosen from more than 300 applicants for the number two announcer position prior to the Royals initial season in 1969, then took over the number one job after the 1975 season...has also lent his play-by-play skills to the CBS Radio Network during portions of the regular season and during the 1982 and '85 World Series...graduated Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, Ill. ...is a 1966 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan...lettered in football and baseball for three years...finished eighth in the nation (NAIA) in pass receiving in 1965...worked for WMBD-TV and radio and KMOX-TV prior to joining the Royals...his brother, Mike, is the radio analyst for Illinois State University basketball...is an avid collector of sports publications and enjoys playing golf and hockey...he resides in Leawood, KS.

Ryan Lefebvre has been part of the Royals radio broadcast team for four seasons. He broadcast for the Minnesota Twins for four seasons after being hired at the age of 24, one year after graduating from college...worked both television and radio for the Twins and broadcast University of Minnesota football, hockey and volleyball...began his broadcasting career as a freshman at the University of Minnesota at KUOM radio...a native of Los Angeles, Ryan graduated from Loyola High School in 1989...graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1994 where he was a three-time all-Big Ten selection in baseball...established school records for hits, triples and at-bats...was drafted in the 27th round of the 1993 June Free Agent Draft by the Cleveland Indians and played one season in the New York-Penn League...is the son of former big league player and manager Jim Lefebvre...enjoys playing golf and fishing...he resides in Lake Winnebago, Mo.
