LOS ANGELES (AP) — Newly acquired pitcher Odalis Perez signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday.
Perez, who made $240,000 last season, is getting $625,000. The Dodgers got the 23-year-old left-hander on Tuesday in the deal that sent Gary Sheffield to Atlanta.
Perez was 7-8 with a 4.91 ERA last season.
The Dodgers also signed shortstop Alex Cora to a one-year deal. He hit .217 in 134 games.
