Tony Armas Jr. still felt some tenderness in his right biceps during a bullpen session on Friday, but managed to throw the slated 50 pitches.
The session went well enough that Armas will throw between 60 to 65 pitches on Monday.
"It's coming along good. I'm not worried about the biceps," Armas said. "The pain is there just a little bit, but it's not a big deal. Hopefully, everything will go good in the next session and we'll go from there."
Last Tuesday, Armas got off to a good start in a bullpen session, but then he felt pain in the biceps and had to be shut down after 40 pitches. He was slated to throw 50 pitches that day.
The Expos are counting on Armas to be in the rotation 2004. He missed most of last season because of a torn rotator cuff and labrum.
