LIKED THIS TRADE!

:cooldude:

I know people got really pissed off at the end of the season, because of what was perceived as lack of production at the plate, especially during the World Series, which actually had more to do with his broken thumb, because of being hit by a pitch by Mike James on the Cardinals.

Okay. I may be a little defensive. :D

But, I liked the trade, and Baltimore came out smelling like a rose with Mighty Melvin Mora. :cooldude:

Oh, and there are several other trades in this list that I liked. But this one stood out. :D

OK, these are my favorite all time Mets trades:

Tommy Agee and Al Weiss
Traded by the CWS to the Mets for Tommy Davis, Jack Fisher, Billy Wynne and Buddy Booker.

Jesse Orosco
Traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Mets for Jerry Koosman and Greg Field.

Keith Hernandez
Traded by STL Cards to the Mets for Neil Allen and MLP Rick Ownbey.

Gary Carter
Traded by the Montreal Expos to the Mets for Herm Winningham, Floyd Youmans, Mike Fitzgerald and Hubie Brooks.

John Franco
Traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Mets for Randy Myers and Kipp Gross.

Jerry Grote
Traded by the Houston Astros to the Mets for Tom Parsons and cash.

Willie Mays
Traded by the SF Giants to the Mets for Charlie Williams and $50,000 (OK, so I’m biased)

All these trades are overshadowed by the most infamous trade which will live in infamy:

Steve Henderson, Pat Zachry, Doug Flynn and Dan Norman for Tom Seaver.
