Manny 3rd, Nomah in clean up. I liked it. I think it puts more pressure on the pitchers to get the #2 guy out.
I'm concerned about Mueller in the 2 hole, though this line-up switch may help.
Mueller hit .400 in the 8th hole last year, .305 in the 7 hole, and .240 leadoff.
In the 8 hole, Billy hit .400, had a.500OBP, a 1.292 OPS, and slugged .792. In 142 AB's.
I like it. It will also help drive up Nomah's numbers. Sasquatch didnt play last night huh? I didnt get to see the whole game.

I like the switch too. Nomar hitting 4th makes more sense anyway because of the fact that he never takes pitches and works the count, therefore pretty much negating the protection that Manny provides for him. I think we can all agree that Manny is our best hitter and having him bat 3rd will also give him more ABs.
As far as Mueller goes, I've read that Tito wants to keep him at either #7 or 8 in the lineup and move Nixon up to the 2 hole. Have you guys heard anything about that?

I have not, but I like it, a LOT. Trot takes lots of pitches, and if memory serves me(not likely:D ) isn't Trot a carrer .300 hitter in the 2 hole?
This is a great idea.

I think he is right around .300 for his career from the 2 spot.

I like that lineup...it's very strong, no real letdowns,, but you have pokey and damon abck to back...no real power...im thinking put pokey in 8, and tek 9, switch them up. That way theres always a threat of going deep

I like the lineup switch, but I don't think we're gonna see Trot in the number 2 hole.

They don't need power. All they need to do is get on base, that's it.
Just look at Luis Castillo and Juan Pierre on the Marlins team. Nothing really for power, but all-out dangerous once on the bases. That's sort of how I'm looking at Damon and Reese.

no offense to Damon and Reese, but I don't think you can compare those two pairs. Damon did not have a very good on base percentage, or at least the lowest for a leadoff hitter. So it doen't really matter if reese gets on base, if Damon just pops out. I think it's better to get Tek to clear the bases, and then let Damon bat with bases open. That way I think there is less of a let down.

Okay, I'll buy it. Pokey 8th, Tek 9th.:D
Has Trot got that bump on his ass fixed yet?

turns out its more serious than they first thought. I read in the paper today they gave him a shot, instead of all the oral pills he was taking. I hope be gets back soon. We need trot in the lineup instead of Hyzdu. maybe not now, but in the near future.
