Today's rumors

Although this is complete speculation, there is a rumor going around that the Tigers are talking to both Kenny Lofton and Pokey Reese about contracts. I'd be amazed if they signed one of them, let alone both. I realize neither is a difference maker, but collectively they might help this team post a respectable record.

The Tigers have apparently offered Lofton a one year deal. GM Randy Smith said he hoped Lofton would sign and thought the Tigers had a 50/50 chance of landing the ex-Indian CF. I, personally, might have offered a second year, despite Lofton's declining numbers, just in case Andres Torres isn't ready by 2003.

Hmmm, that is interesting.....
I had also heard that the Mets had, had interest in him....Hope you guys get him....He is a good player that maybe the change in scenary will help rejuvinate him..
