Orioles to hold tryouts for ballgirls and ballboys this Saturday, March 27
Baltimore -- They don't expect to discover the next Miguel Tejada, but the Baltimore Orioles are looking to sign a few people who are good with a glove.
Outgoing and athletically fit people with baseball or softball experience ages 18 and older who are interested in serving as ballboys and ballgirls for the Orioles during the 2004 season are invited to an open tryout on Saturday, March 27 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Registration for the tryout will be at 10:00 a.m. All those trying out must be at the ballpark at that time. Candidates should dress casually, bring their own gloves, and enter through the Home Plate Plaza entrance on the southwestern corner of the ballpark. Complimentary parking is available in Lot A.
In addition to being able to handle a glove and field ground balls, interested candidates should be personable and customer-service oriented, and be available to work the entire season.
For further information, call 410-547-6278.
