 Hi everyone,
This forum seems to be rundown a bit. Definitely not a lot of activity! Well, it's almost our favorite time of year--Pitchers and catchers report in just over 2 weeks!!!!!!!!
We need to get something going here as we and non-Phillies fans alike need up to date, local information that just isn't available on the national news media--things like: who does Bowa favor for the 5th starter? who seems likely for the CF job?what are the options when Rolen is traded? can Lieberthal play everday on his surgically repaired wheels? what kind of condition-both mental and physical-is Randy Wolf in? how will Person's quest for a long-term contract affect his performance? will the departure of hitting coach Richie Hebner and the hiring of Greg Gross lead to improvement in guys like Lee, Burrell, and Rolen? [the change of hitting philosophy is like night and day] does Marlon Anderson have the confidence of the coaching staff that he will continue his improvement?
There are many more questions I could ask. Do I know the answers to all of them? Nope. Do you? I thought so!! Can we get answers to themif we all put our collective heads together? You bet we can! That's exactly why these team forums exist, so that all of us can answer very important questions--big and small. Jump in and try to answer the ones you know! We will all benefit!;)

Good to see ya' out and about this direction! I hope you hang around a bit - I've missed your insight on all things Philadelphia! Rolen needs a change of scenery anyway! Just send him West!

Thanks, guys! I've been here and there looking for a home this past year, and haven't found what I want yet. Maybe this site will turn out good--there are sure a heckuva lot of old faces! Maybe we can get some team news exchanged, eh, Rockie Bill? And TSC, long time no see! I check in on your website every once in awhile, but not lately; anything new? Will you both plan on dropping by every day or so, huh, and maybe I'll have someone to talk to!! Great!

I usually check in a few times a day when I can, bear. This site is really picking up lately, so there always seems to be some one to talk to.

We haven't had a lot to talk about this winter (except Yanks, Mets and Rangers), but with Spring Training kicking off here shortly, talk should heat up. Again, good to see ya'!

Good to see you also, TSC! Welcome!

I think you allowing a board for our Fantasy League had alot to do with the winter growth... it brought back alot of the dedicated sleeperpicks guys... so thanks for letting us have the board... its very cool:)

? will the departure of hitting coach Richie Hebner and the hiring of Greg Gross lead to improvement in guys like Lee, Burrell, and Rolen? [the change of hitting philosophy is like night and day]

bear..... what is their hitting philosophy?? out of curiousity, where do you get this information?

i've gone to a few met/philly games last summer at Shea and always stood behind the philly dugout during BP..... Pat Burrell is quite a hit with the fans (both Mets AND Phillies)....seems like a great guy, always tries to sign for everyone...... i tried to cough up a conversation with him (he was like 3 feet in front of me, smiling) but i guess he's shy or something.... though he did pose for me and i got a couple of shots:biggrin: .....every met/philly game i went to burrell hit a homerun... :hmm: i guess he likes Shea.....

i couldn't help but root for philly when you guys got Tank.... he was a favorite with the fans......

hmm.... i think i will have to check out the Fantasy League....:) (james, you're my hero)
