When you see the once "crown jewel of the Yankees system" picked up as a free agent by the Phils, I know all you believers' hearts went pitter patter! Rickey Ledee!! Wow! Now I'm a positive guy, but believe me, there is no reason to get excited. Ledee was an obvious case of the New York Hype Machine working it's magic. Ledee will be a useful spare part, much like the John Mabry signing earlier, but nothing more. He is a 4th-5th OF'er with a little speed and not really a CF'er either , but a corner OF. Sorry! His BA has been ,.241 ,.276 ,.236 ,.231 in his 4 year ML career, with 58,98,73,29 SO or an avg of 1 SO/ 4AB!!! Awful batting eye. He can walk a little, so all is not lost. Just don't listen to the hype machine again!;)
