Me thinks the Fish has to get in on this action. After tomorrow's visit with the heart Doc I'll know whether I can participate a bit more. Love the trading action!

If I take on Too Many Rangers the Name will change to something much Fishier!
Betemit is my stud rookie keeper but he is still doable.
I'd probably be looking to upgrade either Vidro or Javey Lopez that may or may not be keepers at this point. Depends on the trades I might make.
Even with my slight NL bias, Hudson would be very difficult to trade away without something really significant coming back in return. I have broken down the rosters of every team and identified the keepers on them that I would keep and it seems quality starters will be in high demand by a large group of owners. This makes Hudsons value to me very high. A rock hard hitting stud or a Closer may do the trick but we'll see.
Charles Johnson and Lopez are nearly power washes with Javey having the BA edge so Johnson wouldn't be an upgrade.
Kent's power and Rbi's would be interesting for me though as an upgrade over Vidro.
How about a Vidro, Bettemit, Kapler, Lee and Kotsay
for
Kent and Cedeno & the injured Vaughn
or
Kent and Everett
or
Kent and.....???
or
Inquiring minds want to know!
From the looks of it Cedeno and Everett may be nothing but trade bait for you at this point. Everett may be a keeper for you but one can never tell without asking. I see Vidro sliding in to Kents slot for you, Bettemit filling your rookie slot and Kotsay, Kapler and Lee replacing any trade bait.
Hopefully this isn't to far out of line. Of course this is only if I take over the Too Many Rangers team and the doc I see tomorrow has some encouraging news. Knock on wood!:angel2:

a potential three way trade. Gotta love it!

Fish a three way deal could be possible.....Only problem is a few of those aforementioned players are gone...Charles Johnson and Carl Everett have been traded away from my team...I like the possibility of Vidro and Betemit is going to be a stud...Don't mind moving Kent if i get vidro and I know james wants mo...see what you can come up with and let me know....
ANd the whole Hudson thing, Unless you want Glavine and Nomo for him I can't offer much else.....My pitching is already going to be horrible so if i could get one stud and fill in i might be better off......who knows..like i said senior fish, come up with something and get back.....

I missed the Johnson, Everett deal(s) then.
What would you say to;
Vidro, Betemit, Kotsay
for
Kent, Cedeno
Hudson's out there? What if I gave you a solid hitter (Cruz Jr.) and a closer (Isringhausen)???? Would you have room for it?

Fish, I have had much time to think about this and I am unfortunately going to have to say no thanks...While Vidro is tempting for an aging Kent I don't want to lose cedeno too....I would be giving up a chunk of my power and a chunk of my speed and only getting a little in return (sorry I couldn't consciously keep kotsay over an Erstad or Grieve), needless to say nothing like I give up....
I am currently content with Patterson or Redding as my RC keeper and would like to see if Betemit is even going to make the opening day roster.......I was just over zealous earlier in my persuit of Betemit...Sorry KingFish!!! Hope I didn't get the trade bloods boiling too high, but don't worry I am sure you will find several other managers willing/wanting to trade with you......

I get wrapped up in trading too. In fact it's a passion of mine. You can now read about trading in my newly published article called appropriately enough, "The Art of the Deal". It's a long one and full of some interesting takes on trading. I'm going to be a regular writer for the site from here on I guess. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise!
