<b>Eleven away games out of 14, and finally a day off</b>
So here we sit, two weeks into the Brewers 2004 season, and here I sit, flying back to Milwaukee on the team's chartered plane.
It is key to mention that I am seated on an airplane, because it is in the friendly skies that the team has resided for a bulk of the first two weeks of the season. The scheduling gods were not too kind to this young crew as they handed them 11 road contests and just three home games in the first two weeks of the season. Not to mention the fact that they were the only National League team denied an off day in the season's first 14 days.
So what do we make of the 6-8 record to start the 2004 campaign? Here are a few random thoughts, surprises and e-mails as the Brew Crew enjoy their first day of rest before hosting Richie Sexson and the Arizona Diamondbacks:
