DENVER -- Tight end Shannon Sharpe has decided against retirement and will return for his 13th season with the Denver Broncos and his 15th in the NFL.
The seven-time Pro Bowler said Wednesday that he will return to Denver for at least one more season.
"This was a no-brainer," Sharpe told The Denver Post from his home in Atlanta. "When it came down to it, I said to myself, 'Hey, you can still play, you can still play at a high level and you still enjoy playing. Why not play?' "
Sharpe told coach Mike Shanahan of his decision a few days ago, and club officials confirmed it Wednesday. The news came just a few days before the NFL draft.
I love this loud mouth. I dont know anyone who wares his own self portart on his head after the game on post game interviews. I dont think they will let him ware that horse mouth on TV!!!
