After receiving so much negative publicity over roof leaks at Miller Park since it opened, Brewers officials were pleased with the relative dryness indoors as the Brewers and Diamondbacks played during a driving rain Tuesday night.
Though there were a few small leaks, including some in foul territory and the center field concourse, the seating areas remained dry for the most part. Team officials were particularly happy to see the end of a persistent leak in front of the press box on the loge level.
"That has been the toughest one (to fix)," said club vice president Laurel Prieb. "At the All-Star Game (in 2002), that was the worst.
"That was our first big test this season. It rained hard, and it was windy, too. It has been a long process. We're not going to put a whammy on ourselves by saying it's completely fixed, but we're cautiously optimistic."
