How about just wearing an American flag on every helmet in honor of all of our brave fighting men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice and who made it their career from the very beginning? ... What Tillman did does indeed make him a better man in my eyes than half the convicts playing in the NFL, and if the NFL wants to honor him, fine by me ... But his death fighting in Afghanistan isn't any more deserving of media coverage and petitions by the public to "make sure the person is not forgotten" than any of the other soldier who has paid with their life since the latest fighting started on Sept 11th ... In fact, just knowing what I've read about Tillman, I bet he'd be pissed right now that his death causes a bigger stir than the others who have died alongside him.
Sorry, I know people are going to think I'm a cold and heartless asshole for saying that. Just the way I feel.

I agree with you PopTop. If the NFL is going to honor a fallen soldier they should just honor all of them.

Pop may I just say AMEN!!!!!
You are right about Tillman. He did no interviews going into the Rangers just because he didnt want people to think he was anything less than a Ranger. He could have even been a officer but did do that because he just wanted to be a Ranger with all his Ranger brothers.
No way I think you are cold heartless or a bunhole for saying that. His blood means just as much as the guy that joined to try to do something with his life.
