Cleveland shortstop Omar Vizquel joined the 2,000-hit club Thursday. Vizquel has more than 200 hits more than five shortstops in the Hall of Fame: Lou Boudreau (1,779), Phil Rizzuto (1,588), Travis Jackson (1,768), Hughie Jennings (1,526), and Joe Tinker (1,690).

Way to go O!!! Unfortunatly, I don't think he'll make the Hall. He has the credentials but when compared to his contemporaries, he'll fall short in the eyes of the voters. Also, Neyer is leading an ever growing contingent of people who believe that O's defense is overrated, apparently he has never watched one of games let alone 10 years worth of shortstop.
