The White Sox staged a 5-run 9th inning comeback this afternoon to stun the Cleveland Indians 9-8 at The Cell.
The rally was capped off by a game-winning,bases loaded sac fly by Sandy Alomar,Jr.,scoring Joe Crede to win it.
The key play in the 9th inning was a dropped fly ball by Cleveland 1B Ben Broussard off the bat of Paul Konerko. That should have been the 2nd out of the inning. The Sox took full advantage of the miscue, and eventually won the game and salvage a split with the Tribe.
It was the biggest 9th inning comeback since 1992,when they overcame a 4-run deficit in Detroit.
Way to go White Sox!! :hi5:
