I'm having problems trying to change my avatar. Now it may have something to do with the image I'm trying to use, but I can't be sure. This is the message I'm getting.

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 506 is not allowed to access /tmp/vbuploadiWavDV owned by uid 48 in /home/virtual/site4/fst/var/www/html/baseball/includes/functions_upload.php on line 172

I've never seen a message like that, Obes :notme:

Try it with another avatar image and see if you get the same message, then try logging out, clearing all temp files and cookies, logging back into Addicts from scratch and see what happens.

Actually it a known bug in the VBulletin software that occurs when Yankee or Celtic avatars are used. There is no known fix for this currently....stay tuned. ;)

I'm having this problem again guys, the very same error message. Just trying to get a little pic of NY as my new avatar, but no picture seems to be welcome. Can anyone help?

i have no idea...that was doing the same thing for me when i wantd to put a picture of...well it wouldnt let me put anything in...this avatar was the only one that worked for me...and im happy with it :D

Sure. There was a few actually, it was just little pics of NY I found on some random site, but they were within the size and bytes limits. :notme: If I get a minute tonight, I'll send 'em to you.

Check the file extensions Dan, if they are .bmp's they will not show up as an avatar or be problematic to upload.
