ok why dont the yankees buy everything they nearly have anyway. why not buy all the rest of the teams and just take what they want from them.

Far be it from me to defend the Yankees, but re-signing Posada isn't taking anything away from anyone else. True, many teams can't afford to re-sign their own players but most at least try to.

You right Julie. Posada has always been a Yankee so they didn't buy him from anybody. He's one of the best catchers in the league and with the things he's done for the Yankees, why shouldn't he get paid? Do you guys realize that his little boy was having major surgery on his skull and he still showed up to play? He's a dedicated player who deserves to get paid just as much as another catcher I could mention.

Any updates on his own surgery? Do you think he'll have problems this year?

It's said that his surgery went well and he should be his old self this year. God I hope so. At first when he took over for Girardi, I didn't like him mush but he turned out to be a real good catcher and an asset to the Yankees!

I dont think I'd be dedicated enough to baseball that if my son were having surgery on his skull, to go to the game over making sure my son was alright...

Oh he was in constant contact with his wife at the hospital. I didn't mean to sound like he didn't care or anything like that.
