It's going to be a topic on my show tonight, so I figure I'd ask here first.

No, I don't think so. Why would you think that? Just curious.

His playing of 2B, two days after Art Howe said that it wasn't even a consideration.

And, Duquette saying on the FAN yesterday that trades could come sooner rather than later.

Hmmmm, even if we trade Wiggy, who'll be at third base? I know Zeile can handle it but he's really a bench guy and won't be back next year. I know there is David Wright in minor league but I don't think he'll be ready by then. Hmmm.......

Wiggy IMO is not the answer long term for us.....

Again, just my opinion but he's just not all that great.... See what we can get for him.....

Maybe we can get lucky and get some value for him.....

I would ask the Angels if they got a Double A guy available for Wiggy. He could play 3B for Glaus, and spot (if not replace) Adam Kennedy at 2B. They're already trying the punch-and-judy hitter Chone Figgins there, and Ty has much more power than he has.

Ride Zeile for as long as you can (for some on the Board, this will be their favorite sentence!), and bring up Mr. Wright!

It's possible he could be considered trade fodder.

Tell us again about your show?

Since you asked (and I don't want this to be construed as spam, but rather more of a shameless plug ;) it's 2 hours of commercial-free Sports Talk every Tuesday and Thursday night from 9PM to 11PM on 90.3 FM. It emanates from Garden City (in Nassau County on Long Island), but can be heard fairly far out. Of course, an FM signal doesn't go as far as an AM signal, but we are in stereo. Last night's Mets discussions included Wiggy, how long will Howe last?, whether to trade for 1 or 2 pitchers, the Mets in their traditional uniforms yesterday, and how many of Piazza's HR's in his time with the Mets have been memorable.

If I started using the words 'ride' and 'Zeile' in the Yankees forum, would you guys start posting in there? ;)

Maybe...as long as he took off that uniform. :D

There are rumors that the Mets might consider signing Aaron Boone. I think it's a no-brainer. Why? Because he'd only cost cash, no players. Plus, considering he's "damaged goods," we probably wouldn't even have to give him tons of cash or years.

Wiggy's defense is suspect, and Boone would definitely be an upgrade.

Wiggy's hitting is not so hot either, and Boone's .270 career BA (.281 career BA at Shea) would be another upgrade.

And, if David Wright proves to be the real deal, Boone could back up both 3rd and 2nd because he plays both positions.

It makes perfect sense to me.

I've always suspected that the Yankees were still paying him his salary--just not where it counts against the Cap. They've always had a great relationship with his agent, and he's agreed to throw out the first pitch against the Red Sox should the need arise. I think we'll read about his flirtations with other teams, just to keep the scent off the trail--and then he'll be the 2B.

I say adios amigo to Ty. I just don't like hime and untilvery recently he has sucked! When he is more consistent, perhaps my feelings toward him will change.

I hate the thought of Aaron Boone coming here, but I felt the same way about Karim Garcia, so I can't always think with my
