No, Yankee fan. He even said "I shouldn't say this on TV" being the Mayor of cleveland....
He grew up in NY-He said he was born in England and was raised in NY.

And like you I didn't catch the beginning so I have no idea why he was in the booth.

BUT knowing the type of show he runs and his intelligent, classy guests does it surprise you he's a Yankee fan?

yeah that's what confused me...he was talking about all the different places he grew up or lived at or whatever.... he definitely seems more like a yankee fan but why the heck was he in the booth??

WAIT! Isn't there a "Jerry Springer the musical" or something on Broadway?
Maybe he was promoting it :notme:

Personally...I'll pass on that one ;)

Yeah, it's Jerry Springer, The Opera. :hmm: It started out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival the first year I was there - 2002 - and went on to the West End in London, and then..... whoopdedoo..... now it's in New York. I just find him one of the oddest people in the world. I'm sure he just walked up to somebody in charge and asked if he could get some air time. :hmm:

The Jerry Springer musical was such a huge success in London,it was a no-brainer that it would come to Broadway.

I met Springer on Rush Street in Chicago a couple of years ago,and he is one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet.He was signing autographs for a few fans as he was coming out of the convienient store.Very nice guy.

Actually, he was mayor of Cincinnati. And, when he was mayor, he paid a hooker with a check. He was a laughingstock.

He said that being a Yankee fan was the only "Republican" thing about him. Well, I have news for Mr. Springer. I've never voted for a Democrat in my entire life and I wouldn't root for the Yankees if they were the only team in town.
