At the rate this thing’s going, I wonder if I’ll live long enought to see it.
On a more positive note, if there’s one pitcher I’d love to see accomplish this feat, it would have to be Al Leiter (hopefully at Shea).

I think Glavine has a good shot.

It will be Sid Fernandez. Wasn't that what we were always told by Gooden and Darling? Yeh, let's pick a fly ball pitcher as a good candidate....

Steve Trachsel. I've been thinking and saying for two years that it'll be Steve Trachsel.
It's just a feeling I have. :smokin:

It's a little too hard to big no-hitters but if I had to pick one player from the Mets system its that Kazmir dude. How's he doing?

When I saw the title of this thread, my first thought was, "I wonder if it'll ever happen in my lifetime." Glad that was one of your choices, Gary!
I sure hope I get to see it in my lifetime, and I pary that I'm there for it. I don't care who throws it. Just let it happen while I can still appreciate it!!

I'm with Nan on this one, I believe in my heart that it will be Trax.

I'm being positive and saying it'll happen in my lifetime with either Leiter, Glavine, or Trax. I hope it's Leiter, but I'll take anyone at this point!! Gotta get off that list that SportsCenter shows that we and the Padres have no no-hitters.
How about this...Leiter does it against the Skankees, Game 7 of the WS, at Skankee Stadium??? Oh, and A-Rod makes the final out ;)

Wait, it's not 1986? Damn. I didn't know this when I posted it, but Rob Neyer of ESPN.com (of whom I am not a fan) writes that Sid Fernandez has the lowest "Hits per 9 Innings" of any pitcher never to pitch a no-hitter.
