My cat is better, I guess

She went to the vet today and they said she has a urinary tract infection. But I just checked on her and there was blood all over the bed spread. I called my sister and she said that was normal. That if it didn't stop in a couple of days she's gotta go back to the vet. She's on antibotics so hopefully they'll help. She ate her dinner tonight and seems pretty normal except for the blood. But it's pretty freaky seeing the blood:barf:

I'm sure once the antibiotics start to work she'll stop bleeding. But that's so upsetting!:pout: But I think the fact that she's eating is a good sign.

She's better today. I see a little blood in the litter box but I haven't found any anywhere else. She really scratched the hell outta my finger when I gave her her pill tonight. OUCH!!! It finally stopped bleeding. Do you know how hard it is to give a cat a pill all by yourself??? Believe me, it's not easy!!!

OW! I know! I used to kneel on the floor, with the cat between my legs, so that she couldn't move, and did it that way.

I also had to give her a shot of insulin twice a day for 5 1/2 years! But she got so used to that, she'd come out from wherever she was when it was time for her shot.

She was a sweet kitty.:ohno: :)

OH! And glad your kitty seems to be getting better!:biggrin:
