I know that Monday is usually a day off, but I'm surprised they have off Thurs also. How come they're not playing 3 games against the Phillies? Anyone know? Just thought it was kind of weird.

We play 19 games against division rivals. The schedule against the Phillies is

2 games at Shea
3 games in Philly
4 games in Philly
4 games at Shea
3 games in Philly
3 games at Shea

Total of 9 at Shea and 10 in Philadelphia.

I'm thinking they have longer series with the Mets/Phils because the travel is so easy (they take buses instead of planes) and because the fan base overlaps so they get good crowds at both parks.
