Gary Matthews
The Rangers recalled Gary Matthews from Triple-A Oklahoma to replace the injured Brian Jordan on the roster. Matthews was hitting .342 with nine homers and 36 RBI with the Redhawks.

Chad Allen
The Rangers recalled Chad Allen from Triple-A Oklahoma today to replace the disabled Kevin Mench on the roster. Allen led the PCL in hitting with a .392 batting average this season.

Chan Ho Park is expected to miss his scheduled start on Wednesday because of a sore lower back, according to the AP. It's not yet clear if he will pitch later this week when the Rangers will need a fifth starter.

Ben Kozlowski (P) Tex
The Rangers assigned pitching prospect Ben Kozlowski to high Single-A Stockton, according to the Star-Telegram. He underwent Tommy John surgery last June.

Juan Dominguez (P) Tex
Juan Dominguez is expected to start Saturday's game in place of the injured Chan Ho Park, according to the Star-Telegram. He probably won't be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma until the day of the game.

Chan Ho Park (P) Tex
Chan Ho Park is eligible to come off the DL next Friday and could be in the mix for a start next weekend, according to the Dallas Morning News. The Rangers have two off days next week so it's unclear what they will do with their rotation.

Ryan Drese (P) Tex
Ryan Drese will jump ahead of Joaquin Benoit and pitch Tuesday in order to stay on a normal four days of rest, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Alfonso Soriano (2B) Tex
The Dallas Morning News reports that Alfonso Soriano continues to jog out routine grounders in an effort to protect a sore quadriceps. Soriano fouled a ball off the area on Tuesday, aggravating the problem.

Brian Jordan (OF) Tex
Brian Jordan was examined twice this week and told that the damage to his MCL was not serious enough to merit more surgery at this time, according to the Dallas Morning News. However, Jordan also has a weakened quadriceps and does not expect to play again before the All-Star break.

Rosman Garcia (P) Tex
The Rangers optioned Rosman Garcia to Triple-A Oklahoma. Garcia pitched one inning since being caled up earlier this week.

Juan Dominguez (P) Tex
As expected, the Rangers recalled Juan Dominguez from Triple-A Oklahoma to start Saturday's game. The team has two off days next week, so it's not clear how long Dominguez will stay up.

Juan Dominguez (P) Tex
Juan Dominguez allowed three runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings on Saturday in his first big league start of the season. He also struck out four and walked two while suffering the loss.
