Magglio Ordonez was out of the lineup for the White Sox on Thursday for the second straight game with a strained left calf. Manager Ozzie Guillen said that Ordonez asked to play, but Guillen decided it was better to wait until his star outfielder is 100%.

Magglio Ordonez was given the green light to play last night by White Sox trainer Herm Schneider, but manager Ozzie Guillen held him out because he wasn't 100%, according to the Chicago Tribune. Ordonez expects to be back in the lineup on Friday.

Magglio Ordonez missed his fourth straight game on Saturday with a sore calf, and he's not expected to play Sunday, either, according to the AP. An MRI on Friday revealed nothing serious. The White Sox are off Monday, and Ordonez will be re-evaluated before Tuesday's game.
